Photos & audio of the 'Intimate Performances' gig at the 100 years gallery with John Macedo and Phil Julian. The performance was very quiet and the room recording didn't pick everything up; however, there is a composed studio performance, 'Surface Tension' of the same transducer and resonant object set up.
These strangely haunting pieces of music were recorded in Kamakura, Japan. They are, apparently, designed to tell the local school children to go home. I didn't have my field recording gear and so recorded this with what is essentially a dictaphone. They're really lo-fi, (especially the second one) but do capture something delicate and fleeting.
Stereo contact mic recording of a child's toy on a drum, which is a small part of my new live performance set up. Works best on headphones.
